DESCRIPTION

"I love goooooooold!"

Gold is easy to do badly. This one does it with steampunk sophistication.

The Midas runs a champagne dial with a woven texture underneath — visible up close, invisible across a room — with gold applied indices, a date at three, all under a sapphire crystal, and nothing else competing for attention. The 41 mm case and coin-edge bezel are finished in a warm, brushed tone that shifts as the light moves across it, closer to an old coin than to anything showroom-bright.

A Seiko NH35 automatic drives it, and the exhibition caseback lets you watch the rotor turn.
Fitted to an oxblood leather strap with red stitching and a folding clasp — the one color with enough weight to stand up to all that warmth without fighting it.

Hand-assembled by Swenson's.

On water resistance: this is a dive-styled watch, not a tested one. It hasn't been pressure tested, so we make no water-resistance claim and recommend treating it as a dry-wear watch. A pressure test at any watchmaker settles it in a few minutes if you want the certainty.
